I’m jen
She/Her
But most people call me JC! I am a music director, conductor, and pianist who thinks great music-making should be about making real connections, having fun, and collaborating in a way that feels effortless and energizing.
Right now, I’m on the road for the third year in a row as the Associate Music Director for the National Tour of the hit Broadway musical Annie, performing it’s iconic score every night (and yes, you can bet your bottom dollar it’s a blast). I also conduct select performances!
Growing up in Rhode Island, music wasn’t just a hobby—it was the heartbeat of our big Italian family. Thanks to my uncles Fran (The Fabulous Thunderbirds), Bob (Radio Kings), and Johnny (Johnny and the East Coast Rockers), I was constantly surrounded by it. I grew up with musicians always coming and going, and it wasn’t uncommon to find a jam session happening. The Roomful of Blues rehearsed in my grandparent’s basement and legends like Stevie Ray Vaughn and Matt "Guitar" Murphy ate meatballs at their kitchen table. But while I was raised on blues, rock, and jazz, it wasn’t until a bit later that musical theater became my true passion.
A Little about Me
picture this…
15-year-old me, on a school trip to see my first Broadway musical with my mentor and chorus director, Mr. D. I was in the very last row of the Majestic Theatre in New York City, completely overwhelmed as the final notes of The Phantom of the Opera filled the air. I just sat there, sobbing, knowing without a doubt: This is it...This is what I want to do.
What followed was an entire musical journey: studying classical piano performance at the University of Rhode Island and the Boston Conservatory of Music, accompanying countless vocalists and instrumentalists, playing for thousands of auditions, and spending the better part of my life in orchestra pits, bringing musicals to life.
And now? I’m touring the country and living the dream I set my heart on all those years ago.
I help performers and productions sound their best—whether that means leading a pit orchestra, playing for auditions, recording custom piano tracks, or coaching artists who are ready to level up. Music is my job, but it is also my passion, and I love creating a space where people feel safe, supported, and confident to do their best work.

A few career highlights
it’s about the people! The connections we build in a rehearsal room, the moments between rehearsals and opening nights when someone cracks a joke that we’ll still be laughing about years later, the energy that sparks when everything clicks—that’s the magic. I love diving into the details, shaping a score, and bringing a vision to life, but what really lights me up is creating an environment where everyone feels inspired, supported, and excited to make something together. At the end of the day, that’s what this is all about: making music and making memories that last long after the final bow.
